centre of the universe: the dreaming

06/15/2008: "Actually, I quite like this" Well, I have almost *completely* changed my mind about this city.

That's about par for the course for your friendly neighbourhood cenobyte.

I need to mention that Black Pope Marlon IV has been disrobed. Um. Dethroned. Urg. Un-bishoped? He's stupidly unbitter with a beautiful, fascinating, and vivacious wife, and just about the cutest baby girl I think I've ever seen. I think I shall move in with them. They took me out on the town, and out on the water, and Mrs. Formerly-Known-As-Black-Pope-Marlon-IV and I just about got in to a skirmish over the incredibly cute outfit I *had* to get them for a happy wedding and sprog gift. heh. Skirmish.

Robert Munsch stopped by the booth today.

Oh, yeah, and as FKaBPM-IV mentioned, the independent music festival is North by Northeast. Ahem. "North by Northwest" is an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Heh.

So we have the theme for next year's booth. I'll tell you what it is next year. This year's theme was "Saskatchewan's Most Wanted" - a wild west theme. There may have been some corset wearing going on. I'll post pictures.

More later.

"Hawt"       "This is the next day."

FKaBPMIV , on Sunday, 15th June:

Well, we're glad that you had a good time.

The funny thing about being here is, as a collective, the people are miserable s.o.b's, but most of the individuals we meet are really nice people. It's odd - you have to nearly ram a car to make a left turn some days, but the people we've met have been incredibly wonderful and generous.

Mrs. FKaBPM has co-workers who have practically adopted ye olde baby as their own and kept the closets overflowing with gifts. The clerk from the video store in our old building - she arranged the chocolates for our wedding and is a great friend (to be fair though, she is a former Manitoban who moved here a decade ago).

Very odd city, but there is a lot we will miss. Just not the traffic, the city's general attitude or the crime rate. Ok, we'll just miss our friends and the restaurants.:-p

Coyote , on Monday, 16th June:

Bah, the man had to get over his bitterness eventually, he just had to find the right kind of crazy chick. One just crazy enough to put up with him. :)

Now get back to the important part of the post. Corsets?! :)
