08/20/2008: "My hands felt just like two balloons" Did I mention at all that I was going to GENCON!!!!? Because I did. Go to GenCon. A whole slough of folks went, and it was awesome. Actually, it was Awesome. Even Yaks on a Plane was worth the dough (because Yours Truly got at least 14 hours of good, solid bitching in about how truly terrible that movie is.

I'll not bore you with long, drawn-out descriptions of just how incredibly Awesome this past week has been, but I will encourage you to start saving now for next year's trip. I have the beginnings of some costumes planned.

cenobyte will be back in the vicinity of Chez Relaxo probably this weekend. One more week of summer, and then The Captain is back in school, Yours Truly is back at work, and the commencement of International "What the F**k Happened to Summer" Week.

And feel my anger - nay - *bitterness* about having to get the house unpacked, day care arranged and university figured out instead of going....

Maybe next year.
If I'm not taking summer courses.
And the baby can be left with mom & grandparents for 4 days.
And we can afford it
And.... lots of reasons. :-(

YES, finally someone agrees that the stupid movie was more horrible then any word can describe.

The teddy bear yeti, the football reference... dear god.

I've never wanted to walk out of a movie before, but I actually wanted too... I didn't because I was with people but STILL!

They took such a good premise and turned it to shite... AND I hear they are planning on making a 5th movie.

Ah, BPM-IV, there are BUCKETS of reasons *not* to go to GenCon. All you need to do is ignore all of them and just go.

Aelius, this movie will be worth even more than the $7 I paid for it when you and I sit down together to talk about just. how. truly. awful. it. is.

And a 5th movie might not be so bad, as long as it's not written during the writers' strike. POW!!!
