centre of the universe - the dreaming: A Fat Vat of Awesome for this Hep Cat

10/10/2008: "A Fat Vat of Awesome for this Hep Cat" Once, there was this guy and this gal and they decided to do something so Awesome, so Incredibly Cool, that to even think about it would make your brain leak out your ears. Now, that's not always something that you really want to have happen to folks you like, so the Guy and the Gal figured out a way to tell people about the Incredibly Cool, Really Awesome thing that they'd come up with. You know what they did? And this is verra snikky. They put it on teh Intarweebs.

So I told a bunch of my friends about this Awesome and Incredibly Cool thing, and they all started oozing out the ears, and dripping vitreous humours all over the place. I immediately saw the error of my ways, and, sopping up the goo with my shirt sleeve, I directed them to the place where they could look at the Awesome and Incredibly Cool thing without visceral liquefaction.

We rented a large white H-V from CSIS and proceeded northwards.

There was music. Loud, raucous music. Caffeine. Junk food. Money changed hands. There was mini-golf. And then...and then, dear reader, there was The Awesome and Incredible Thing.

It was a LARP based on Joss Whedon's Firefly series, and it was held at the Western Development Museum's Boomtown. Everyone was in costume. All 75 players were in costume. It was a wedding. And a plot. And another plot. Oh, there's another plot over here! Oh yes, and let's not forget the plot!

I can't even begin to tell you how cool it was, because I wouldn't want to be held responsible for stuff coming out your ears that you might otherwise need. But it was awesome. I don't know when they're putting pictures up, but when they do, get out your vitreous humours drip-tray (just in case), 'cause I'll be sending you that way.
